The Gamestar+ Discord Community is Now Live!

Dear Gamestar+ Community,

We are excited to announce the launch of our Official Gamestar+ Discord server. This server will be the central location for community activities and information. In addition, we will host a variety of fun and interactive community games and events, so be sure to check it out!

This article introduces you to all the main features you’ll find on the server. If you have any questions, please join the server and ask there!

Given Gamestar+ inherent game show theme, we’ve made sure to adapt the Discord server to match this. You’ll notice that we’ve introduced a variety of Roles, Games, and Channels appropriate to the theme. Let’s dive into these features:

Introducing the Roles

Roles are a distinctive aspect of most (if not all) discord servers. They help the community identify admins, distinguish key community members, and more. For Gamestar+, we’ve developed the following roles:

Admins

Game Master (bot) — This bot will perform various admin tasks, such as welcoming you to the server, levelling you up based on your activity, and more…
Host — This role is specifically for Gamestar+ team members and advisors
Co-Host — This role is specifically for Community Managers

Non-admins

Celebrity Guests — Real-life celebrity guests (keep an eye out for them!)
Stars — (more info on this later!)
Patrons — Server Boosters
Family Roles — Provided after joining a particular Family
Audience — Verified new members

Game night is when families get the opportunity to compete against one another. The Family Roles are a fun feature we’re adding to our Discord server. Each community member will choose a Family of their choice by simply reacting to the message in the #👪│join-a-family channel. You will be able to freely shift between Families until you’ve found the one you resonate with the most. Or, you can keep moving amongst families to represent your current mood. The point is — it’s not restricted.

We’ve decided to name these Families after the four seasons of the year — Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn. We feel that everybody can easily associate with these. It tends to be that everybody has their favorite season, so it should be relatively easy to choose which Family you’d like to represent.

While the Family system is more of a quality of life feature for the Discord server, we highly recommend you join a Family, as you will need to be part of one to participate in the Discord games.

Introducing Discord Games

We will begin hosting various exciting games on the Discord server. These games will range from the classic Discord games you may have seen on other servers, as well as games unique to Gamestar+. The latter includes games that will eventually be played on the Gamestar+ platform, namely Family Feud, Jeopardy, and more. This will give the community a chance to experience these games before the platform goes live.

Contestants will earn points in each of the games. These points will be allocated and displayed on a public scoreboard. These points can be accrued over the next few weeks until shortly before the token launch, at which point Gamestar+ will reward the scoreboard leaders handsomely.

We will release another article outlining more details about the games — so stay tuned!
