Why I Want to Make The Gamestar+ Experience Amazing

Shane Pike I’m the Chief Experience Officer at Gamestar+. As an interactive producer with over 20 years of experience in digital, broadcast media, mobile application development, and cloud applications, I know I can help take the Gamestar+ experience to another level, using my experience developing innovative interactive content for Disney, HBO, NBC Universal, and Warner Bros.

“There’s a real sense of satisfaction I gain from working through the ‘Discovery Phase’ of any project using the Human Centred Design approach. I believe this approach is by far the most inclusive and brings to light all use cases to be considered, which in turn informs the business requirements, objectives, and success metrics.”Shane Pike, Gamestar+ CXO

The Career Path That Led Me To Gamestar+

I’m from Adelaide, Australia. That’s where he started his career as a junior tape operator and editor in 2001 at Imagination Entertainment. I went on to become an account manager there.

From there, I moved on to Imagination Games, a division of Imagination Entertainment, in 2003. It was an opportunity that allowed me to relocate to Los Angeles to assist in setting up the US DVD Games division of Imagination, where I was part of the team that provided board games with their first technological revolution into DVDs.

In 2007, I became the producer for iCandy and was the primary liaison for home entertainment for the Weinstein Company.

By 2008, I was an interactive producer for Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, where I conceptualized and developed advanced content for Blu-ray, iPhone, and iPad for home entertainment. My clientele included Universal Studios Home Entertainment, HBO, Summit Entertainment, Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. Interactive, Lionsgate, Electronic Arts, and more. That time in my career was awesome. I got to test out my ideas, and I managed and developed the creative processes that went with them.

By 2013, I moved to the Digital Embassy in Adelaide, where as Head of Production and Services, I harnessed my skills to branch into digital service solutions.

The next year, I became General Manager for Zero Agency, where I planned the company’s business development and strategy with a focus on tech and user experience. I then spent the next four years at Hybrid, where I worked with both businesses and governments to lead customer journey experiences and communication.

I've also worked as a group product owner for HaloGlo, Australia's first mobile fuel delivery service.

More recently, I held the Director of Innovation and Technology position at Them Advertising, Australia's largest full-service digital agency.

Shane is a problem solver that enjoys exceeding expectations. His core strengths lie in digital strategy, business analysis, solution architecture, user experience design (customer journey mapping — improved process & system flows), product development, team and stakeholder management, project management (technical and digital media), digital marketing, and creative thinking.
